This product was part of a Computer system that PB Tech built for me to replace an aging video editing system. From the initial enquiry through to the final delivery I received second to none service from Mark Yeoh. Now i have the system up and running in my home it operates seamlessly and I could only recommend to others who need technical support that based on my experience they will not be disappointed at the level of expertise, courtesy and patience they can find at PB Tech.

I bought this cooler to fit an AMD AM3 build into a smaller mATX case that didn't have the height to fit a 150mm+ height cooler - despite saying AM3 compatible at the top of this page if you buy this cooler for older chip sockets such as AM3, you will find that the mounting kit required to fit the cooler to an AM3 socket/mobo, and possibly older intel sockets, is not included in the box - Noctua stopped including the mounting kits for older sockets in 2022 . Thankfully it is free of charge to request the required kit, but it is certainly an annoyance to crack the box open to find the cooler cannot be used straight away - newer Intel/AMD sockets are supported out of box however - I will either update this review or add a new one once the mounting kit arrives and I'm able to assess cooling performance and noise

Had a stock rm1 cpu fan and suddenly starting getting temp ranges in the 80s to 90s. With the odd shutdown from overheating. Bought this as a temp repair until my new parts arrived for my new pc.
But this fan has dropped Temps from in the high 80s under heavy load down to a steady 35/40°
Cannot be happier.
Definitely recommend this cooler. Very easy install, looks very nice in black and fits in a fairly small case.

This is a highly performant cooler for the size of the package. It will suit most peoples' needs unless you are overclocking to get every last drop out of your rig. I have relatively poor airflow in my tower, I ran Cinebench R23 and only got upto 74c (Several 10min runs)
Playing games this keeps my CPU around 59c - 64c, but with that poor tower airflow..
Though I'd usually recommend a larger cooler, this thing goes hard Happy with this product. Small, but does the job very well.

After installing the NOCTUA on an i7-4790K CPU, it knocked a massive 16 degrees off the Processors core temperature! ALSO, due to the NOCTUA's fan directing the heated air directly at the rear extractor fan, it dropped the Motherboards temperature 4 degrees as well. Impressive, most impressive...
