Shark Cordless Pro IR300 with Clean Sense IQ

Vacuum cleaners have become complicated wee beasties over the years - unlike the trusty Hoover I used as a kid! Now they have sensors and filters that are finicky and need regular inspection and cleaning.
This cleaner is compact, it has a detachable battery for charging, and the filters are quite accessible and are washable but do need to be cleaned monthly if not more often.
I like the cleaning head though like most it doesn't fit underneath furniture terribly well. I like the cleaning head though like most it doesn't fit underneath furniture terribly well. It has three accessory heads, including one skinny one for upholstery, and a brush-style one that could be OK for dusting but needs longer bristles on the brush to do that well.
It doesn't have a holder for those additional heads, so you do run back and forth fetching the one you need, and I would have loved two things: a small one for upholstery instead of just the one for the floor or the skinny one; and an extension with a fluffier 'duster' brush so I can use it for dusting cobwebs. Ahh well, back to the feather duster.
The battery life for one charge is pretty good - we have a 3-bedroom home, and a dog, and lots of doors open to let in the dust, so need a reasonable time for cleaning. It manages fine at the moment. We'll see how it holds up over time.
The instruction manual was pretty unhelpful (for locating the filters and knowing how to access them).
For a handheld cordless it's doing the job and much less expensive than other brands.

I'm so delighted with my purchase. I usually only vacuum for a few minutes at a time, so haven't tested how long it lasts for, but it's perfect for what I need. The suction is good (I switch between the mid and max options), the body is light and easy to manoeuvre, and I empty the dust most times I use it so the capacity is plenty for me. If it carries on being this good, I'd highly recommend. They're just so convenient! I'm so delighted with my purchase. The battery really doesn't last very long, definitely not 40 minutes, probably half that max, which is ok at the moment as we have a small space but hopefully the battery doesn't deteriorate. Also, I feel like the "Smart" suction doesn't always adjust timely. Otherwise, it's all good. I love it!....good suction, i have a 2br unit with quite a spacious lounge and it can do the whole lounge stairway and upstairs bedrooms no problems! dont think i will ever go back to a corded vacuum after this! I previously owned a shark and after many years it gave up and broke which lead to a cheap purchase and honestly I hated my new vacuum and it was a chore to vacuum….we happened to be near PBTECH over Xmas and picked up this beauty at an absolute amazing price!!!
