Sansai CR-075E LCD Alarm Clock 2/A

We thought this alarm clock looked like it had everything we needed - and it mostly does! Big display, date, temperature etc. It doesn’t have the most intuitive set up, but not a big deal unless someone is changing their daily alarm frequently. It also only allows 2x for snoozing before shutting off completely, which isn’t great for someone who likes to hit it a few times. But what we couldn’t get past was the alarm sound - it’s a very tinny, cheesy version of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”! Absolutely maddening for us, and makes it unusable. The backlight has a darker blue hue compared to what’s shown in the images, which I like as I personally prefer the darker hue.

It also features a world clock function, though the default setting is for a US timezone (i think). Adjusting it to Wellington time (local timezone) took me about two minutes to figure out, as the instructions didn't explicitly explain the process.

One cool feature is the motion or sound-activated lighting, which works well and is especially handy at night—it’s a clever addition.
