The typing experience on the Keychron K10 Max is excellent overall. The Super Banana switches are responsive, tactile, and provide a satisfying feel for long typing sessions. They come well-lubed from the factory, and I haven’t felt the need to apply additional lube to them yet.

However, be aware that the stock stabiliser lube is lacking — particularly on the larger keys like the spacebar, backspace, and right shift, which sounded noticeably tickier and more hollow than the rest of the board. This was especially apparent when tapping lightly or pressing off-centre.

However, be aware that the stock stabiliser lube is lacking — particularly on the larger keys like the spacebar, backspace, and right shift, which sounded noticeably tickier and more hollow than the rest of the board. This was especially apparent when tapping lightly or pressing off-centre.

Applying Krytox 205g0 to the stabs significantly improved the sound and feel, eliminating the ticking and making the board much more consistent and thocky overall. If you're picky about acoustics or want a more premium feel, lubing the stabs is highly recommended.

Had this keyboard for about a month and its great. Good mechanical switches that arent too loud and good sound/feel feedback for keypresses. Good price for a full size keyboard too. Does come with RGB lights which arent that good but not that big of a deal. This feels so nice to type fast on. The keys all "feel" in exactly the right place, and the banana switches I think are the best I've tried, but I may one day try the mint.
The keyboard is well balanced, heavy and doesn't move.
Comes with swappable keys for Windows or Mac, or in my case Linux so I did a mixture of both.
The colours and lights are cool if you're into sparkly keyboards, but I don't really care about that so I have them switched off. This feels so nice to type fast on. The keys all "feel" in exactly the right place, and the banana switches I think are the best I've tried, but I may one day try the mint.

The USB cable that it comes with is too short. I'm estimating it's about three times as long as the keyboard itself. They've put the USB-C port on the left side of the keyboard. So if the PC you're plugging it into is on the right, which I believe is common practice, there's a lot of wasted cable length just getting it to the other side of the keyboard. It leaves me with only a small amount of space for my mouse. And I'm prevented from shifting the keyboard to the left. That said, bluetooth works perfectly. But bluetooth is only a dirty bandaid fix for this, in my opinion, unacceptable problem.

Another issue regarding wiring. There is a massive amount of input lag even in wired mode. Not such a big deal most of the time. But it's a pain to have to switch keyboards if I want to play certain games. I'd estimate the input lag at about 20-30ms. It is the ONLY keyboard I've EVER noticed input lag on.

The ridges on the F and J keys are far too light. Not so much a problem at my desk because I'm just so used to typing there. But if I'm sitting on my couch and I pick up the keyboard to play a movie or something. It's damn near impossible to find the home row without looking at the keyboard. It's also marketed as an office keyboard, so I'm not sure why they made the decision to shrink them down so much. Are they just relying on their customers being super practiced typists?

The backlighting is not programmable, others might not care, but I would've just bought the non-backlit version if I'd known.

Another six months later.
Judging this keyboard is hard. There are a lot of good things about it. The switches feel good. The keycaps feel good. The frame is sturdy.
All of these things are expected in modern mechanical keyboards. The thing that really sells it is non-proprietary switches. Nice. GJ keychron. It's hard to find that in New Zealand. Basically your only options are keychron and uhhh.... keychron....
It's too bad they forgot that there's an actual electric circuit component to keyboards.
Let me preface this. Consider that in the 80's IBM keyboards could do [actual] 1000hz polling rates if you asked them to.
The keychron k10? Yeah, it might do 1000hz poll rate if polling rate means a very specific thing.
In reality, the polling rate (for my specific keyboard) is 33hz. The keys are offset timewise, B key is read x ms after the A key. Which is how i imagine they get away with the blatant lie of 1000hz poll rate.
The thing is though. Literally any bottom of the barrel $10 keyboard can get 1000hz poll rate.
If you read this and still decide to buy this keyboard, do NOT upgrade the firmware. You'll actually get the 1000hz poll rate in bluetooth mode as long as you have version 1.0 firmware. Or at least that was what happened in my case, trying to fix poll rate in wired mode by updating firmware turned my keyboard into a toy.
The keyboard is probably still excellent for people who don't need a keyboard that is time accurate. If you just want to type this keyboard is great. If you want a keyboard that says "i pressed X" when you press X, pick literally any other keyboard.

The keyboard is very well built with great connectivity. The red switches are relatively quiet unless being typed on vigorously. I should note this is my first mechanical keyboard so its relative performance or quality I cannot judge.

It does rest higher on the desk so a wrist rest may be a good idea and there is an adjustment period coming from a cheap logitech, but so far I am happy. The keyboard is very well built with great connectivity. The red switches are relatively quiet unless being typed on vigorously. I should note this is my first mechanical keyboard so its relative performance or quality I cannot judge.
