Razer Tartarus v2 Mecha-Membrane Gaming Keypad

I'm a software developer and use a multi button mouse bound to shortcuts in Visual Studio, to help me navigate my code. Got some wrist strain and pain from it though, so bought this keypad so I can use the left hand to map commands to.

Although there are 19 buttons directly under your fingers, the thumb button can change everything to another mapping, so 38 buttons, plus the scroll wheel. The mapping software is good, and the buttons all operate as they should.

Bought this as an upgrade to the old Razer Tartarus. As you'd expect it's an upgrade in every way. More buttons, clicker joystick and quicker response all round.
The software is more convoluted than it needs to be, the older version being much more intuitive along with the adjustable palm slider being just too small on one end and just to large on the other. Lighting is fully programmable, keys have solid mechanical feel.
The thumbstick is just a hat switch.

For recording and initiating macros, you can not go wrong. The interface is simple to use and the keys feel solid and responsive. I use it in X-Plane for multiple views and cameras, and it makes the sim quite immersive.
For repetitive keystrokes like email addresses etc, a single push of the button types out the address (or whatever text you want) with ease.

As soon as i got it i was amazed with the color in the LED's, Razer certainly has great LED's and in my opinion outrank Logitech in that category. It took some getting used to as expected but only took me a couple days to start remembering the key placement and whatnot. Great deal and would buy it again.
