Well design board without stupid bifurcation drawbacks

Recently replaced my 'higher spec' X870 motherboard with this unit due to incredibly questionable design choices resulting in limits on M2, PCIe and/or SATA functionality that rendered the board essentially useless.
The B850 Eagle has none of that however. Unlike so many other boards, there are no BUS lanes shared between the M2 and PCIe sockets meaning you can in fact install 3 M2 drives AND still retain full use of all PCIe slots...incredible!
Aside from the superior block layout, the board is good quality, reasonably well priced, has quality typical of most Gigabyte products and delivers all the essentials for a high performance PC.

Good as!

All works and works well, though one thing to keep in mind is in order to use the WiFi you're going to have to update drivers so maybe make sure you have a flash drive with them available before installation (or a direct Ethernet cable to your router), especially as a lack of access to the internet can impact your ability to log into certain systems depending on your set and settings. This is unavoidable for any motherboard that contains in-built WiFi.

Great motherboard

This is a really aesthetically pleasing motherboard! It has everything you need, and then some things you maybe don't!

It does everything it needs to, and comfortably fits a modern build.
It includes a custom heatsink for the NVMe in the top slot (the only PCIe 5.0 slot) - so keep this in mind if your NVMe already has one and you want to use the 5.0 slot. (it will be likely end up being right behind your GPU)
