I bought 3 of these flash drives. Two worked and one failed right from the start. It couldn't be repaired or reformatted. Now I'm wondering how long the other two will last. I used this USB drive to install Windows on my upgraded NVMe SSD, and it worked perfectly. Quick formatting, smooth booting, and no issues during setup. It runs hot, I do not like these drives getting over 50 degrees Celsius. I have to put a fan on top to draw air through for cooling when copying more than about 300GB. Otherwise it copies large files at 100 - 150 MB/s. It runs hot, I do not like these drives getting over 50 degrees Celsius. Do not buy! Often only achieves write speed of 1Mbyte/s, otherwise not much more. Simply formatting it gets 1/4 finished after 2 hours. That's a lot less than the 100Mbyte/s write speed specified. Like a lot of people have been saying, the write speed is not even a little close to advertised. I spent 15 plus hours transferring 258gbs of files, and it didn't even transfer properly the first time. Reformatted and tried again. Another 15 hours. Read speed seemed a bit slow. Tired in device I was making the USB drive for, ended up disappearing part way through reading it and needed to restart the device. Sent back for store credit. Got a micro sd Adata to replace it with and a card reader, which ended up cheaper. Transfer only took 4 hours. Like a lot of people have been saying, the write speed is not even a little close to advertised. The Kingston DataTraveler 128GB USB 3.2 Flash Drive is a great little device with a slim design that's perfect for laptops with closely spaced ports. It allows me to connect it effortlessly without blocking other ports. It's light and has a hole/loop on the end so you can attach it to a keychain or lanyard. I can't really comment on the copying speed as I haven't tested it. I'm very happy with its performance and capacity—it easily stores a large number of photos and videos. I bought two of the 64GB version, mainly for the performance.
I expected lower in performance in the smaller capacity version, just not this bad for writes.
The write speed was particularly bad, if I knew they were this bad I would not have purchased them.

Over the whole drive the write speed averaged 14.014MB/s and read 97.671MB/s.
The max write was 20MB/s and read was 210MB/s I bought two of the 64GB version, mainly for the performance.

Drive is extremely slow to copy onto. Took 22 Hours to copy 320GB of data onto the drive. Does work ok once data is on it. Drive needs to be reformatted to NTFS for files over 4GB.
