Razer Basilisk V3 X HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

after owning this mouse for a little over a few months i have ran into constant issues with this thing freezing up on me. now i am no pro with my peripherals and only look to purchase reliable hardware....this mouse is not that.
in any single given night of gaming i deal with constant issues of no response where the mouse will just lock up and stop working (mid game) here i was thinking maybe its my rechargeable batteries, bought new ones, fully charges, use in the mouse.....locks up.

I have been using a computer mouse since 1994 and I do not recall feeling such illwill to an item of this type.

If you use the WiFi dongle you can expect to change the battery at least once per day - don't take this POS travelling.

If you use BlueTooth you can expect to have to click the buttons, shake the mouse before tapping it on the pad to wake the indolent item.

If you think, wow, what amazing top speed it has then I suggest you appreciate the battery can barely sustain a 50% speed...

I bought this mouse to replace my aging Logitech G602, which was well-loved. I wanted something with a similar shape and feel, particularly the thumb rest. The Basilisk fits the bill nicely, and comes in a bit lower weight. I'm still on the first battery at time of writing, so I can't speak to its battery longevity yet. I have used this mouse for around 2 years now, I had the Basilisk V1 X Hyperspeed prior to this. Having Dual Bluetooth and Wireless USB has been amazing for my usecase, I have 2 devices one mac one windows, and I can quickly switch between them as I have my mac on BT and my Windows on USB. No issues aside from it being on the heavier side thanks to its use of AA batteries, but its both a curse and a blessing as I can simply carry around some precharged AA batteries instead of having to plug in as you would with some other wireless mice. Works great, have purchased 2 for different workstations.
Unfortunately the software doesn't work on Mac, so I needed to purchase BetterTouchTool to customise the buttons.
Also it takes AA batteries, with no way to charge them in the mouse, so you need a spare on charge. Works great, have purchased 2 for different workstations.

Was looking for a wireless mouse that wouldn't break the bank but wasn't a hunk of cheap plastic with tacky RGB lighting. Quite new to this gaming thing so after a little research decided on this mouse. While it's not exactly a super expensive product, it definitely punches above its weight and paired with a quality mousepad feels great. The thumb rest is comfortable and the 3 side buttons are more than enough for what you'd need and each button is fully customizable through Razer Synapse.
