This device works well as a school device. The tablet mode and included stylus mean it's good for digital drawing as well as word processing.

Bought for my daughter's school use to double as her drawing pad as she loves digital drawing and would like to use it between class periods. However, was a bit disappointed. The unit was struggling the first time I set it up for her use. The fan was working full time after about an hour of use and was very noisy with just 2 browsers open. The pen is too thin even for my 13 y.o. small hands. It is okay for drawing for an hour, but beyond that it fatigues the hand. As it is using an old WACOM pen protocol, we could not find a better pen to pair with it. I have a list of issues but the biggest is this: The hinges are not turning in sync which results in the screen being misaligned every time I flip the hinge. I took it to show the service dept but they told me it was normal. But when I asked them if it was covered under warranty they suddenly can't say for sure. Other issues: Pen glitchy and not reliable, CPU gets thermal throttled so hard it performs worse than the i3 variant (For reference the i5-1240P should achieve PassMark score of around 17000 and the i3-1220P achieves around 14400, when I ran the benchmark after noticing issues I got a score of 12866). Great for it's value although the screen has some bubbles that suddenly appeared after a few weeks. no liquid has touched it. taking it back to see what happens from now.
