Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16IRH8 16" WQXGA 165Hz RTX 4060 Gaming Laptop

Loving it. The screen is by far the best out of any of the other laptops around this price point - nice and bright, accurate 100% sRGB colours and large resolution means its super sharp and can fit a lot on the screen.
Installed a second 1Tb nVME drive into it (super easy to put in yourself).
After comparing with other laptops at the $3k range with num pads, this ticked the most boxes for me and I don't regret it. Loving it. looked around for ages and after talking to people chose this as a replacement for the kid, (the asus kept dying) and was so impressed got a 2nd one for the other kid. would highly recommend.

Have been using for a few weeks and really happy with performance. Runs my online game well and so far, so good for editing photos using Photoshop & Bridge
Colour on screen is accurate with SRGB 100% but most of the time I will be running off separate display screen, but good to have the laptop screen with high spec so that I can still edit with how I envisage the image when printed if I'm travelling. DDR 5 5200mhz 16gb ram is enough. Storage not so but there is spare slot for more.
Rather than open the base i just plug in a big Samsung T7 which loads my games plenty fast.
The 13th gen cpu is plenty fast and the 4060 plays at 1080p, a few games can run 1440p
Battery life is average for everything but gaming obviously
Could use more usb or\and type c ports

The GTX 4060 is a capable graphics card that saves you a few hundred dollars and keeps the laptop slimmer than the bigger Lenovo 5I and 7I that pack the 4070. I have had this laptop for nearly 3 months now and have really enjoyed using it. I took it overseas on a trip through Asia for a month and it is light weight and compact enough to travel with without being a hassle (although I am comparing to a much older, heavier gaming laptop I used previously). It runs plenty of games well and runs smoothly. Just take the time to review the preinstalled bloatware and only add what you need.

Not the full 5 star coz it's not a Mac but much better value for money than one! Apparently a good base to hackintosh it! We will see!! Touch pad a lot better than i was expecting. Light, bright and germ free too! A good balance of screen resolution and size. I produce video so impressed with graphics power and screen res. IPS screen a must for serious colour rendition. Very happy with it, compared to the higher spec models the only real difference is the SSD size. For video production there's a critical minimum point and this beasty hits it with ease.
