This is my second MSI gaming laptop , the first one lasted well over 5 years and was still going strong. The MSI katana 17 B12U is absolutely epic for the price , add a few hundred extra and youve got 2.5 Tb of SSD and 40 Gb ramm.
Plays wow on max at 150-200FPS Enshrouded on quality at 40- 70 FPS.
people say the fans are loud but i hardly notice, i would prefer noisey fans as i know shes cranking. I have mine sitting on a cooling station and under peak loads , its only around 60degrees .
will be buying msi again in the future.

Laptop runs very smoothly on my games. Took it away camping and would last for several movies on the battery which was a definite bonus! Good build quality and no complaints at all. Highly recommend this little guy if you're after a gaming laptop on a budget.

Let down by poor screen
Very powerful laptop, ideal for running Diablo 4.
But the screen is awful!
I thought you couldn't go wrong with an IPS panel, but everything is tinted yellow and colours are dull.
Apparently this is a consistent issue with MSI.
I wish I knew that and didn't buy this. But there are currently no alternative 17" gaming laptops.
The only workaround I found is in Intel Graphics Command Centre, increasing Contrast on Blue by +4. Makes photos look good again.
In terms of speed, the RTX 3000 series have DLSS AI built in. Enabling that in games gets you 30% more frame rate easily.
