From what I have experienced, buying a wifi card that has a faster Mbps doesn't show a noticeable difference, it depends on how fast your internet is by default. But if you are looking to get the best out of your internet, just get an ethernet cable. I only bought this cause I forgot to buy a wifi card when I built my PC and I didn't know anything about ethernet cables. I bought this as an upgrade as I now have very fast fiber and an old card that could not keep up with the router, this has improved download speeds significantly over wifi. This card uses the same chip as some big branded pcie WiFi cards at a discounted price and bar the Bluetooth capability. After a bit of configuration with my router and drivers I got this card working flawlessly on the 5ghz WiFi. I did have a bit of signal attenuation but I think I got the antennas positioned perfectly as well as moving a few things away from the router. Other than that it's a bare bones card that can runs great and never drops out like my old usb WiFi adapter.
