I replaced an old Orbi router and set up this Archer to be a satellite for my main TP-Link router. In spite of 4 antennas in all directions, this Archer has much shorter range than my old 3-band Orbi had on the same frequencies. I finally got fiber installed and wanted a new router that would handle the faster speeds as my old router would work on fiber but was getting old and a bit slow. This was a great price and a nice upgrade. Range is great, signal is rock solid and setup was very easy, even for me as I'm not a noob but certainly no technophobe either. I have been using it for a few months now and now issues whatsoever, just set and forget. Easy to setup. Purchased this for the back rooms to compliment the wifi coverage for security cam and smart switch using tplink smart feature.
