TP-Link Deco X55 AX3000 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Whole-Home Mesh System - 2 Pack

This is a great Wifi6 Mesh network. I chose this for my wife moving to a working from home environment and my eldest son needing a better connection for gaming. The 3 ethernet ports for each unit was a deciding factor over other units which only had 2 ethernet ports.

Results Before the mesh network.
I have 100 year old bungalow with 4 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 stories and a basement.
Close to the router was getting around 170mbps down/30 up
One room was getting 30Mbps up/down another bathrooms had no connection.

Your results will vary. But this really works for me.

We recently moved into a new rental 2 bedroom house in Island Bay. Our modem (One NZ, Fibre Max) and wall router (Chorus) located in the lounge (which has 900mb/s down 800mb/s up in that room). My custom desktop PC is located in my bedroom, 6 metres away from lounge separated by only 2 walls. My PC (purchased new December 2023) for some reason had a weak wi-fi signal. I was contemplating if to get a USB WiFi dongle. Suburban homes are known for having large rooms compared with shoe-box homes in inner-suburbs and the city. This product is well worth the investment, and is ideal for up to 2 bedroom homes. You download the app on your phone (for me, S22 Ultra), easy to set up, and complies with NZ privacy laws for peace of mind. Would recommend. 9/10.

You don't have a lot of the finer network controls. IT people would not like this at all and for us older people with poor eyesight it's not easy to set up on a mobile phone app
For some reason they don't want you to use a web GUI, they have been saying for years now they will fix it, but they're not.
Visually impaired people have complained about not being able to set up also because of the phone's screen size compared to a large monitor.
You have to use their mobile app and you have to make an account first

Purchased late Nov 2023. We replaced some older wireless infrastructure in our house with these X55s and are really pleased we did. We have both wired in as wanted the best speeds we could achieve.
+Setup was very easy and you are guided through the process via the Deco app on iOS.
+Coverage across our property now extends to places our old wireless didn't get to.
+We now get wifi throughput close to the advertised speeds of our fibre connection!

I was sick of coverage in the house - Talked to the team @ PB Tech and went home with the X55.
This is the easiest system to set up and allows for great monitoring of the network.
With the added ability to easily assign network times for the children.

I bought these to add to the two x20s I have already setup. The X55 has more safety and control features so I made it my primary unit. Easy to set up and works very efficiently in our large house. The best thing is seamless transition from one area to another - you never drop off the wifi.
