Covers an entire single-story house from central location, with at least 4 bars and adequate website loading speed on 2.4GHz in all corners.
I followed the illustrated quick-start guide, and it worked first-time.
Sits secure in a 15-year old power socket.
Styling is as unobtrusive as a device of this size can be.
Has side Ethernet port for wired devices.
Will fit behind a couch or other furniture without feeling like it takes up too much space.

We bought two RE 450 Range extenders to extend the poor coverage our generic ISP provided out from our home into our garden... my wife is addicted to podcasts. It works perfectly with total coverage... perhaps 60 metres in total. A minor hiccup in setup of the first unit which quickly resolved itself, and didn't happen at all with the second unit. I have had them running a couple of weeks. We thought good value. Excellent product. I was told by staff the 5G signal coverage is less than the 2.4G. I was able to setup both the 2.4G and 5G at the same time. Easy to setup, and has a great signal range. This product extends your existing network signal so you don't have to add a new device. Love how you can just set it up once, then plug it any power outlet within the signal range of the modem. We just recently bought a new house and the fibre is installed in the lounge which is the furthest point from my gaming room. Since the house is old (no cat 6e Jack's from router to bedrooms) I had bad speeds in my pc gaming room which was on the other side of the house using wifi.
I prefer a wired connection but just couldn't be bothered getting under to house to run a cable.
Buying this made my games room pc have good enough download speeds and now I am satisfied.
Another bonus is our bedroom (also on the other side of the house) now also has great coverage so we can stream movies and shows to our tv.

Side note wifi is much slower than a wired connection so dont expect you will achieve the advertised download speeds. Would only reccomend if you can get the tp link extender close enough to the area you want better speeds in. Less than 5m if it's a problem area.

If your wifi signal at home keeps on dropping out in certain areas, I'd definitely recommend this product. We used to have a few dead zones around the house and deck area, now it's all working fine. Easy to set up, took less than 10 minutes including the time I spent fluffing around with the router. Once set up, it works exactly as advertised. The dual band is great too, because I can set up 2.4 and 5 GHz and then forget about it.

Only downside of this model is it's phyiscally large and can block other powerpoints, depending on the configuration. Top-link should redesign it's shape, when plug in to top of the double outlet power point, The bottom power outlet is block by it's bulky shape, if plug in the bottom outlet, then the top one totally block. Other then that the re450 works perfectly. Coincidentally, finally got around to installing it yesterday. Seems to work well so far. Deducted a little of the rating star for the install documentation issues. Super pleased with this purchase. Took a bit to set it up the first time but it works perfectly! The range is definately very good. I have a little cabin at the back of the house and the network was really poor there. I have plugged the extender in the cabin and the main router is in the lounge about 20 metres away with thick walls and the speed is great for streaming HD videos. Definately recomment this.
