You would expect a device that advertises an ethernet port and OneMesh connectivity to support a wired backhaul for OneMesh. This would allow for a more stable remote mesh connection, and would be a simple software feature. However this does not have this relatively basic functionality, allowing for a less stable wireless connection only. I'm sure it's fine if you just want to wirelessly extend your network, but it doesn't work for what I bought it for. Has a good reception sensitivity for 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ bandwidths. If you ask me then I am happy to highly recommend this to all. Has these Wireless standards such asIEEE 802.11a/n/ac/ax 5GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ax 2.4GHz. And we all know that we buy these to extend the range from our existing router.

Whilst no instruction with device to change the Extender to Access point mode, there is on-line. Works brilliantly. Now have full strength wi-fi with the ethernet plugged into it. The device needed some configuration and uses a difference SSID (AP's SSID plus _EXT) so devices needed to join the network using the new SSID. I had a D-Link range extended which needed no configuration at all and worked straight out of the box as soon as I plugged it into the power socket. Besides the slight hassle, it works fine. We live in a sleepout and the WiFi to our place was terrible so I thought to buy this and give it a shot not expecting it to do a lot, maybe just make it more stable. This smashed it out the park! I can use 5Ghz internet no problems now. The connection is more stable and about 60% faster! Its great! It slowed my router speed by 60-70% I was getting 900 mbps now I get 300ish which is disappointing.

The extender is so wide that if you plug it into a double plug you can't use the other plug.

Using the extender has improved the speed of my slow zone from 100 mbps up to 300 like the rest of the house is now getting so that's the plus at the expense of the rest of the house dropping... Time will tell
