TP-Link Tapo H200 Smart Hub

It is basically a smal WiFi hub for the 915 MHz sensors. You have to have it for things like the temperature sensor and i belive door bells (I don't need that, I have a dog). Sub-GHz has better range that 2.4 GHz. It also has a built-in speaker for alarms, door bells etc. Has to be plugged into your router or mesh hub via an ethernet cable. Easy to set up. A great, easy to use home automation hub, very easy to set up with the TP-Link Tapo app. Nice to have onboard storage, so cameras can save direct to the hub rather than onto the camera.

Only real complaint is that there isn't an easy way to migrate from the H100 hub to the H200 hub (this model) so all devices have to be reset and added afresh, including all automations. You must get one of the 2 types of hubs to connect any sensors. Note the range is the same as any wifi even though they advertise Sub-G wifi used in this device as being greater-needs to be quite near a hub and the hub itself needs to be quite near the router or wifi access point. This unit is nearly twice the price of the H100 but has the Ethernet socket to connect to a router or AP if required instead of by wifi. Does a super job of connecting my Tapo units. The micro SD slot is a boon and the warning buzzer/signal a very useful feature that is easy to adjust with the app on my iPhone. Nice one! I purchased this to use with the motion sensor, but I don't find the motion sensor useful for my purposes, so I don't really use the hub. It's a small box with a christmas tune (jingle bells) when you hit the bell icon on the Tapo app. The manual recommends that you connect with an ethernet cable, which I did, so I cannot test its wifi connectivity. If wanting to add more devices later much better than the H100. Have got it plugged into router to enable people in house to hear the Tapo doorbell when pressed. Works well. Took a while to work out how to get the chime in this hub to sound when doorbell pressed but now working great. Reasonably easy to set up on the TAPO app.
I have connected it to several switches and sensors to perform various functions.
