Works fine once you get it setup. The setup is quite messy compared to the TP Link Tapo equivalent. The big draw for using this one is it is supposed to measure power. Unfortunately I can only get it to show power in the phone app and this doesn't come through to Google Home. Weird way to display the power too, hugely unintuitive, almost like you have to do a brief/light press on the icon in the app, why can't it just show the power?

Home Assistant integration is not available, which is a definite downer. It seems likely this Plug is probably a rebranded plug, but not sure who makes the original? I'm guessing no HA support as this brand of plug might not be sold in the USA. Google Home integration works fine but I am now using Home Assistant to try to bring all my devices under one platform. TP Link Tapo doesn't have HA support either, although some smart people have found a way to make it work. I might try a DLink next time as that appears to have HA support, but then that doesn't have power!
In summary works fine but no Home Assistant integration means I won't buy any more of these.

It is not bulky. It fit well on the extension lead plugs.
Down side is power monitoring, needs to be calibrated, but after calibration works acceptable.

Turns on/off with an app - yep!

Will it do fancy HomeKit integrations? No.
the energy features and schedules are done from the app, so they’ll only work if they’re on the same network. You can’t go setting up an IOT wifi network and have those features Turns on/off with an app - yep!

Have a couple of these now as I'm slowly replacing some old bulkier smart plugs. All the Brilliant branded smart stuff I've got from PB tech to date talk to the Tuya app which links basic controls to Google home and Home Assistant (as of 2021). Only reason for the 4 stars is the construction feels a little cheap but not an issue unless you're planning to move it around the house a lot. Saw it on the shelf, price was very good - bought it on the chance. Been working well and surprised it worked with the Smart Life app so I didn't need ANOTHER app for it! Energy monitoring (tracking electrical usage on electronics/appliances) is an amazing feature and makes this way better than other smart plugs. I use this to monitor the power output of my cryptocurrency mining rig. It shows current power output e.g. 550W, and it also stores/saves your daily power data on the Brilliant Smart app, so you can view exactly how much power in kW the device has used on any given day, as well as the total power used for each month.

If my rig crashes, I can use this smart plug to remotely turn off and on the device. (From anywhere, using mobile data. Don't have to be at home). I got this plug to automate a heater, with the added advantage of watching the power usage. Works great, will probably purchase a few more to keep track of power. Great app, easy to understand stats due front-end interface.
Timer features are useful.
Power readings show live power, current, and voltage readings and history.
The only feature missing is the ability to create different profiles. Lightweight.
