Has been a huge help at home ! Made streaming/watching tv significantly more relaxing and easy! My wife and i have been very happy with this product. It's also just a perfect price for the box ! My Sony 4K TV was slow and laggy. Apparently these smart TVs back then had their processing chips prioritise picture quality over streaming. Netflix, Disney, Amazon have all updated their apps over that time and the TV's hardware was no longer sufficient. With Google TV 4K streamer - problem solved and PB Tech also price matched - am happy! My Sony 4K TV was slow and laggy. I bought this item looking to stream both TV and internet through my not so smart TV. It does now!

We can now watch all OnDemand TV stations via the TV. If I had subscriptions to Disney, Apple TV, Netflix, Prime video, etc then I could do that as well.
We can also watch Youtube and listen to Spotify. There are heaps of apps you can download.

Set up was easy via your phone. It connects your existing accounts so all your favourites are there.

I'm very impressed with this device.

Remote is better and faster than my old Chromecast. The little custom button so handy. 4K Netflix looks great on TV. Wired internet helps stability and speed slightly, but go wireless if you prefer, you have the option. Remote is better and faster than my old Chromecast. I purchased this as an upgrade to my old CCWGTV 4K, which had difficulty playing some high-bitrate 4K HEVC files through Jellyfin and exhibited an audio delay for Dolby Digital content. This new device plays those files with ease and has no audio delay. Nice to see improved VRR support, too. From a performance perspective I'm satisfied.

That said, there are a few feature improvements I'd like to see, including Dolby Atmos passthrough, 4K rendering of UI elements, and a default launcher without ads (currently they're present even in "apps-only" mode).

Definitely do your research before purchasing if there's a technical feature you're relying on. If you can afford it, the Apple TV is likely a better all-rounder but doesn't support Jellyfin or SmartTube!

Confusion with set up until it had done its updates. Easy to setup (eventually), gives my old dumb TV smart features so extended the useful life without spending several hundred more dollars on a TV upgrade. I bought this after discovering that casting from our Meta Quest 3 headset to our LG OLED TV didn't work at all (thanks for nothing LG !). Setup was easy and the casting works perfectly with no pixellation or huge lag issues experienced so far.
