I like that it dosen't have a bright light. I can see what people mean about the noise of the fan. I put it on to charge in the morning and the fan was still going 13 hours later when I went to bed. But when I got up in the morning it was off and haven't heard it since. The UPS lives under a desk in our lounge/dining room so I've been putting off this review to see if I was going to return it. But 3 weeks later its staying where is. I haven't connected the USB control so can't comment on that. I like that it dosen't have a bright light. Great little UPS for a small office or network room but no good for a home office as the cooling fan is too noisy for a confined space. Otherwise there is nothing wrong with it. Good UPS, keeps my networking equipment and server up in the event of an outage.
