The Ugears Colosseum model, from the World Cities collection, is a 1:1000 scale wooden DIY model of the iconic Amphitheatre, with dimensions of 10 x 7.5 x 8.5 cm. With 63 pieces made of art-quality composite wood, the Colosseum is rated "Easy" and can be built in about 30 minutes. You won't need glue or special tools to build the model, just push the pieces out of their laser pre-cut boards and snap them together.

The ancient Colosseum of Rome is something of a paradox: it is both a stunning architectural treasure from the ancient world, showing the heights to which human architecture and building skill can ascend, but also a testament to human depravity, a haunted arena where people were killed for sport and entertainment.

Construction on the Colosseum began under Emperor Vespasian in 72 AD and was completed a mere eight years later (with some subsequent modifications). Built of limestone, volcanic rock, and concrete, the Colosseum was and is the largest freestanding Amphitheatre in the world and could hold up to 80,000 spectators. What those spectators watched is another matter. Battles to the death among gladiators. Public executions. Animal hunts. Reenactments of famous battles, including naval battles for which the Colosseum was flooded. The Colosseum served up a stream of gore to a bloodthirsty public. After the fall of the Roman Empire the building was variously used for housing, workshops, a cemetery, a den for bandits, and a Christian shrine. Today it is a tourist attraction, a symbol of Rome, and the image on Italy's 5 euro cent coin.

Shipping Security and Insurance

All orders shipped by PB Tech are sent via a courier with a signature required for each delivery. In some cases, and only where you have given the courier company permission to leave orders at a designated location, your order may be delivered without requiring a signature. All orders sent by PB Tech are fully insured in the unlikely event that your item(s) are damaged or go missing in transit.

Delivery Estimates

The delivery time-frame (in days) for each product we sell is detailed on the individual product page just to the right of the main product image. From when you place your order, for DHL express delivery in-stock products typically arrive within 2-3 working days for metro areas and 3-5 working days for rural areas. For Standard delivery in-stock products typically arrive within 3-7 working days for NSW, VIC, ACT, QLD and SA deliveries and 5-10 working days for WA, TAS and NT.

Returns & Warranty

7 day right of exchange

If you change your mind after making a purchase, or realise you have ordered the incorrect item, you can enjoy the peace of mind that we offer a 7 day exchange policy.

To exchange a product, goods must be sealed / unopened, with packaging in original condition, and accompanied by a valid receipt dated no more than 7 calendar days from when you request an exchange.

If there is not a suitable product that can be exchanged for your returned item you will be offered a credit on your account or gift card based on the value paid at the time of purchase.

Please note, items purchased on finance cannot be exchanged for a gift card.
