Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro - Nebula Gray, Sapphire Surface, Premium Smart Watch

I like it. Yes, the battery life is great.

As with other smart watches, I find the 'raise your wrist to turn on the screen' a bit useless as often my wrist will be at a keyboard and I want to simply glance down to look at the watch. So I enabled an always on screen and that works well.

The various sports features are really good, I use it for running, a bit of cycling, tennis and walking.

The music app is very basic but it's quite simple to re-pair to my ear buds. I can't see how to select individual songs, but for what I use it for (just playing some favourite music with a good beat while running or cycling) it works really well. I...view more I like it. If you want a full UI for music, you'll probably be using your phone anyway. Though the Huawei App is generally nice to use, this particular feature of loading music onto it isn't the nicest to use.

A pleasant surprise was that calls made on the watch are actually very clear, both for me and the person I'm speaking to. It's actually easier sometimes just to pick up on the watch than hunt for the phone.

I like that if I sit still at the desk for two long it vibrates and shows an animated 'get up and move' graphic! Quite right!

Tracking sleep appears to work well - though you can trick it by lying in bed being lazy and it thinks you're asleep ;-)

The big gripe I have is that the advertised ability to show Tides doesn't work in New Zealand - it just says 'Tides information is not available in your area'. I've been on the phone and email to Huawei support and they said I needed to install the Huawei Health app from the Huawei Appstore, which of course had to be installed itself and allowed to install other apps. However, that made no difference, Tides is still unavailable. This is a serious shortcoming for me as it was the reason I chose this watch over several others in the price range that don't have tides.

This is more of a fitness device than a smart watch, but it's a very good fitness device. The main attraction is the excellent battery life - up to two weeks so great for traveling. It stores music and can be paired with Bluetooth headphones so you don't need to carry your phone when out exercising.
The screen is large and has plenty of watch faces available (More when used with an android phone due to Apple store limitations preventing in app purchases. :(.
Cons: not a great supply of apps so if it doesn't do what you want out of the box check carefully before buying that an app exists for what you want.

For me, this does what I want - waterproof, answers calls, displays notifications, plays music and has long battery life.

Happy with this transition. Does what it says on the tin. Not a fully featured smartwatch but does essentials well and 1-2 week battery life. Replaced my Huawei Watch GT with this and am very happy with it so far. Has the same incredible battery life but with more features. Especially like being able to control music from my watch now as it was the one thing I wished the GT had. Also love the build quality and materials used, feels great to wear. this is a great watch, maybe one of the best in the android market. it crashes my friend's Garmin Watch by miles away, from the battery life, design and watch OS.
on top of that, it supports wireless charging, which means if your phone can do the reverse charging, your phone can charge the watch. this is very important when you travel, or after 2 weeks, forgot to charge the watch. this is a great watch, maybe one of the best in the android market. it crashes my friend's Garmin Watch by miles away, from the battery life, design and watch OS.

Over consumers. It has less functionality than the Galaxy watch which I passed on to my son but performs what is required so far.
This is a beautifully crafted watch from high quality materials and is a pleasure to wear.. Battery is at 80% after a full charge 4 days ago. With always on function turned off.. Don’t see the limited apps as a problem to my requirements.
