I bought the Tapo brand as I already had the app loaded from other products.
The operation and features of the camera are excellent, super easy to set up, clear picture and
the motorised pan and tilt work well, as does night and day vision.

Far exceeds expectations. I have it set to turn on the light and sound an alarm only when it detects a person. It then records this and notifies me. Bought this to keep an eye on our indoor dog when we are out. It picks up dog barks and notifies us. Very good resolution, pan and tilt works well. Clear image, excellent ap for remote access, bark detector works really well, can remote tilt cam etc. Works great w SD card so no need to join the cloud service ie no ongoing cost once hooked up to wifi. I upgraded from the Tapo C210, which worked perfectly for me. I expected the C225 to be better, but it has been disappointing. The camera keeps disconnecting, freezing, and sometimes doesn’t even turn on. I never faced these issues with the C210. The features look good on paper, but the reliability is poor. I regret switching to the C225 and would not recommend it. I upgraded from the Tapo C210, which worked perfectly for me. I expected the C225 to be better, but it has been disappointing. The Tapo C225 Camera is used in my family/work room and makes checking on our two dogs a breeze, When we are away it becomes part of the Tapo Security setup. The infrared mode is a amazing.
